Matthew Flemister earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law. Matthew has defended thousands of people facing criminal and traffic charges in Central and Northwest Arkansas. He understands the consequences of a criminal conviction, and how it can negatively impact a person’s life for many years to come. As such, he is passionate about helping minimize the damage of criminal charges on a person’s life. Matthew’s number one priority is to aggressively look for ways to win cases and fight to get great outcomes for the clients of Norwood & Norwood.
Matthew was hand-picked by Norwood and Norwood to be part of the DWI/DUI and criminal defense legal team after hearing about his experience and skill. While in law school, Matthew spent almost every day in courtrooms defending clients in Pulaski County. After law school, Matthew gained valuable experience working as a judicial law clerk for the Arkansas Supreme Court and defending clients at a criminal defense firm in Little Rock. He was excited to join Norwood & Norwood because of their reputation as zealous advocates for their clients. Matthew was appointed by the Governor of Arkansas to serve on the Arkansas Child Welfare Agency Review Board in 2016. He is married and calls Northwest Arkansas home.
